Know Ye All People
By These Presents
Greetings:
WHEREAS, the Junior Deputy 10U All Star team will represent the Southwest Region, the State of Arkansas and the City of Little Rock at the Cal Ripken 10U World Series to be held in the city of Vincennes, IN, August 11-18, 2007 and
WHEREAS, the Cal Ripken World Series represents the finest 10U baseball teams and players in the country; and
WHEREAS, Junior Deputy is one of the finest, volunteer based, baseball organizations in the United State, dedicated exclusively to the promotion and development of baseball participation, skills; and
WHEREAS, Junior Deputy has focused its efforts into providing baseball programs for all participants of all ages, beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Creating Champions on the field and Champions for life," is shared by nearly 3,000 participants annually; and
NOW, BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that I, Mark Stodola, Mayor of Little Rock, do hereby declare August 3, 2007, as
“Junior Deputy Baseball Day”
in Little Rock and urge the citizens of Little Rock to show our young champions how much we appreciate not only their successes but all of the volunteers who devote their time to the youth of Little Rock, thus ensuring our hope and future.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the City of Little Rock to be affixed on this 3rdth day of August, in the year of our Lord, 2007.
