A followup to this story, on Saturday, our Bambino Cubs were defeated by the Indians for the tournament championship.
Our congratualtions are extended to the Indians family of coaches and players.........they were ready to play, hit the ball extremely well and played solid defense. They had to win 3 times Saturday to pull an upset which is exactly what they did.
Congrats to both the Indians and our Cubs.....We all had a great season!
The Rite of Summer has happened again. Our Bambino Cubs have clinched the regular season championship for the third year in a row! Congratulations to players and coaches for completing an amazing 11-1 season.
 Our Cubs entered the end of season tournament as the #1 seed and are in the midst of this double elimination tournament. They won a nail biter last night over the Indians 8-7 to complete the preliminary round. The Cubs advance to the finals without a tournament loss.
The first pitch for the final round will be thrown Saturday @ 3:00 pm on Callahan Field. If they manage to win, they will be crowned tournament champions. If they drop the first game, there will be a second game immediately following to determine the Bambino Tournament Champion.
